Wow! What a great time at Shipwreck Camp in Cleveland. I was honored to be a guest speaker at the two week camp to talk to the students about my book and its research. Threw in a couple of Lake Erie shipwreck and ghost stories, too! The students were awesome, and I was impressed by what they learned and their presentations. The organizers and volunteers do a fantastic job of teaching these kids Lake Erie history and how to conduct research which includes exploring Lake Erie shipwrecks. They even dive to wrecks! Originally, my program was to be held at Case Western Reserve University but the Republic National Convention changed that with camp having to move to the John Hays School a block away. Thank you very much, Kathryn K. for inviting me to be a part of this awesome experience.
