D.A.R. & COLUMBIA HISTORICAL SOCIETY

I was privileged to participate as guest speaker for two groups these past weeks.

In May, I was invited to speak about my book, RUM RUN and local Prohibition history at Columbia Historical Society's meeting. What a great audience with wonderful stories to share. Thank you, Pat, President Nemeth and Society for the invitation to speak and share my book's story.

June 10, I was guest speaker for the Sally de Forest Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Norwalk. Since my talk was on local Prohibition and my book, one member brought a delicious rum cake and another made yummy rum balls! Again, a wonderful audience and good time. I had lunch with them following the program and meeting and got to know many of them better. Thank you, Dawn for suggesting me and chairperson Schauss and group for the opportunity to speak.
