Had a very successful and wonderful book launch reception for my debut novel, RUM RUN. It was held at the beautiful German's Villa. I had old photographs of the book's locales, Coast Guard busts and rum runners from the 1920's. Had 1920's background music. Food and a big cake with the Marblehead Light was shared with guests. German's Villa was a very good host-thank you to Mr. German, Nancy, Bernice and staff. I am very grateful for the support of family, friends, community a
Did two radio interviews today. One with DJ Big John on WOBL 1320 and the other with DJ Gene Briscoe at WDLW 1380. They did wonderful inteviews and made me feel comfortable. Great job, guys and thank you so much for having me on your shows to promote my book. Thank you also to station v.p., Lori. I really appreciate it.
Very busy getting things made for signings. I designed my flyers. poster, bookmarkers, biz cards and nautical theme guest sign-in book and just picked them up at the printers. O.M. does a nice job and are reasonable. I call my guest book the "Captain's Log." Has the nautical map of Lake Erie islands as its cover design.
My shipment of books for my book launch arrived today. Ten boxes. It is a very exciting moment for all of us. Publisher Gene at MSC said he would do his best to get the books here in time and they arrived over a week earlier than expected. Moonshine Cove Publishing has been very good to me and true to their word. I am so happy to be a MSC author.
Received a wonderful review form the Historical Novel Society. To see the review (or to visit me on the member's page), go to the historicalnovelsociety.org/reviews/rumrun/ Thank you Jeff Westehoff for the great review.
Had two newspaper interviews this week. One is a community newspaper and the other is the area's newspaper. Both reporters were great to work with, and I hope I remembered everything worth mentioning. I am grateful to them for taking interest in my book and helping to promote it.
